U Stare Pani Jazz Club
The name ‘U Stare Pani’ translated into English languague means At The Old Womans’. It implies that this building, where is a hotel too, had been a whorehouse before turning into something more serious – that building is really old, it was build in the middle age. Jazz club was found in 2002 and now it is very favourite place for foreigners. It is the only one jazz club in Prague where you could eat regular food – there is a great restaurant with original and exotic meals like Thai soup, grilled goat, burrito and so on.
There is a daily music production. You’ll find there many important Czech musicians perfrorming wildly or softly – as is the mood of night – and one evening per month there plays an unknown, amateur band which don’t need to be amateur – many unknown musicians are great talents, you know. Club has capacity 100 people only so be quick to get there before the show starts, after that time the place is completely full. Prizes aren’t too low as it is usual in jazz clubs located in the heart of Prague.

How to get there: It is few steps from Old Town Square. You have to walk through that passage near Astronomical Clock into Michalska Street.
