Punto Azul
Another DJ/live PA club located on left side of the river between Smichov and Mala Strana district. This year it celebrates its 10th year of existence. The club acts at Prague electronic scene as a place for alternative Djs and experimental liveacts. You could find a black dressed man behind decks playing some alien music or industrial from drummachines, grooveboxes, samplers or computers, sometimes you’ll fall into thoughtful mood because of triphop sounding on the whole night. But the main style is breakbeat, downtempo, all forms of jungle music and abstract hip-hop. Club is famous for its living room atmosphere – DJ decks are in the corner opposite the bar, the bar is round and between that two places are tables with sofas and seats. Yes, there is a second room with flipper, deck soccer and so on where you can chillout because of another places to sit and lower volume of sound production.
Prizes at bar equals the location of club and the beer is Staropramen 12%. The club releases a compilation of tracks made by artists who play there occasionally. You could download it at club’s web pages. There is a screen projection every Sunday.
