Spanish Synagogue (Spanelska synagoga)

Maybe the most beautiful of all Jewish synagogues in Prague, the Spanish Synagogue combines different architectural styles and traditions. It follows the beliefs and traditions of the Moors and Jews exiled from Spain in 1942, therefore it carries also mixed Catholic/Muslim/Jewish features.

Built in 1868, on the place of the Old Jewish School, the Spanish synagogue was named after its striking Moorish interior.

There is an exhibition showing the life of the Jews in the Czech Republic from emancipation to the present day.
