Museum of Miniatures in Prague(Muzeum miniatur)

One can find the Museum of Miniatures in the Prague Castle area, just opposite the Toy Museum gate. It contains an unbelievable collection of miniatures by Anatolij Koněnko (*1954), a professional artist and pedagogue from Omsk, Siberia.

Using the magnifying glasses and lenses you will discover the impossible: a caravan of camels in the eye of a needle, a three-dimensional model of the Eiffel Tower, measuring just 3,2 mm (that is a one hundred-thousandth miniature of the original !!!), the portrait of Anton Chekhov on one half of a poppy seed, a train on a human hair, a sailboat on a mosquito wing and many more.

The greatest pride of the exhibition is world’s smallest book, consisting of 30 pages with 3 colourful illustrations on the size of 0,9×0,9 mm and comprising the “Chameleon Story” by Anton Chekhov.
