What's cooking, duck?

If you prefer cold meals or maybe you have the possibility of making your own food, it would be a good idea to go shopping in Prague’s grocery shops. Of course, the cheapest solution is to shop at the local supermarkets.

Prague has an increasing number of supermarkets, competing between themselves, so it won’t be very difficult to find one nearby the place you are accommodated. Even if a bit crowded, we recommend:

  • Andel Shopping Centre – on the ground floor there is also a huge supermarket (you get there by metro – yellow line C, or tram – station Andel)
  • Tesco, supermarket, situated right in the city center, at Narodni Trida (metro station on the yellow line and tram station with the same name)
  • Kotva – the oldest mall in Prague, dating from the Communist era. Kotva is situated close to the Municipal House, metro B yellow line, Namesti Republiky
  • Flora – situated at the subway exit “Flora”, (B yellow line). At Flora shopping mall you can find IMAX, the largest 3D cinema in the Czech Republic.

Other options can be the hypermarkets and shopping centres around Prague or smaller shops in the neighbourhoods.
